MENGXUAN LIU

A researcher, an architect, and a practitioner at the intersection of architecture, technology, and cognitive neuroscience. Her research interest lies in the dynamic and multidisciplinary field of Human Building Interaction (HBI), which explores novel dimensions of human perception and interaction within built spaces.

Trained as an architect, She regards architecture as the container of experience. Design is about connecting people with space through the formation of experiences and memories. Conventionally, buildings are perceived as functional shelters, static assets, or aesthetic machines. With the advancement of modern technology including artificial intelligence, sensor fusion, computer vision, and mixed reality, architecture can possess both intelligence and fluidity.
